4: Bohu is persuaded to delay his official suicide for a week, to taste the delights of ordinary life. He ends by composing an anti-epic, bitterly attacking the emperor.
The poem is passed to the hands of a top civil servant, who realises that the poem can be subverted to suit the emperor s Purpose admirably.
