Copland Benny Goodman first recorded under his own name in 1927 and it was not until 1935 that he achieved spectacular success with his own band. Now. although he only forms bands for special engagements, he remains an active performer both in the jazz and classical fields.
In this programme Benny Goodman talks to PETER CLAYTON about his long career in music and introduces some of the many recordings he has made. He also talks about his excursions into the classical field.
