Roger McGough introduces and reads some of his own poems
As a member of the review and pop group The Scaffold. Roger McGough commands the attention of a wider audience than most poets, and his verse reflects a concern with direct speech, humour, and lively craftsmanship.
Tonight's programme includes poems recorded recently at a public performance in the bar of the Everyman Theatre, Liverpool, with guitar accompaniment by Andy Roberts.
