The 16th in a series of 18 programmes
Roy Thomas Baker
Introduced by Andy Peebles
ROY THOMAS BAKER is one of record production's more colourful characters. His taste for complex studio set-ups and the most comprehensive use of multi-tracking made him a natural collaborator with his most successful band so far - Queen. Although born and brought up in London, where he began his career, he now lives in some luxury in the hills overlooking Los Angeles. An inveterate traveller, his other production credits include work with Cars, Ian Hunter, Dusty Springfield, Journey and Foreigner.
Roy Thomas Baker 's story emphasises the degree of drive and tenacity required to succeed in the world of modern music recording.
A book to accompany the series will be available in May from booksellers.
