from Pebble Mill

'Marriage is a great institution - but who wants to spend their lite in an 'institution'? So say some of the students from Small Heath School and Community Centre in Birmingham, who tonight discuss the subject in the Pebble Mill studios with special guests, and chairman Adrian Love. They question the role that religion plays in marriage, and the traditional view that makes man the breadwinner and woman the homemaker. They also ask what right some parents have to arrange marriages on behalf of their children, and challenge the idea that relationships between the sexes should be guided by the idea of 'one man and one woman for life'.
