Will hopes Nic's had time to think about whether she's going to move in with him. Nic thinks it's a big step but Will says he's been thinking about asking her for months. Nic eventually agrees, saying she wants so much to be with him. Will tells her to start packing now, he's come to take her home. 

Elizabeth thinks that the Vienna trip has done Kathy the world of good. Although Nigel, Sid, Pat and Kenton have all had letters calling them as prosecution witnesses in Taylor's case, Elizabeth's surprised that she hasn't been called too.

Matt's surprised when Lilian turns up at the Borchester Land Christmas drinks party, Sussing out the competition, Lilian suggests Matt goes off to circulate while she and Annabelle get to know each other better. Discovering that there's no-one special in Annabelle's life, Lilian says she must come to dinner. When Annabelle leaves, Lilian tells Matt she'll try to play cupid for her; she's obviously desperate to find a man. 

Later Matt has some bad news; the planning permission for the new development might be challenged, as the site is home to some great crested newts. He leaves Lilian to find Annabelle - she'll know how to put a stop to this nonsense.

EPILEPSY
One in every 130 or so of us will develop epilepsy, which isn’t one single condition but a cluster of symptoms, all of which result in recurring seizures in the brain. However for such a common disorder Epilepsy is traditionally poorly understood. A recent report by the All Party Parliamentary Group on Epilepsy – on England alone, showed that nearly a thousand people a year die from Epilepsy-related causes and 400 of these deaths could be avoided. The report condemned the “vicious circle of social stigma, secrecy and widespread medical ignorance” that surrounds Epilepsy.
Raj Persaud visited the Institute for Epileptology at Kings College Hospital to find out more. He spoke to Professor Mark Richardson, about the latest developments in research and treatments.

STAR WARDS
Last year more than half of psychiatric wards in England and Wales were deemed non-therapeutic and unpleasant by the Mental Health Commission and previously the Healthcare Commission’s audit of violence had found almost 80% of mental health nurses and 36% of service users had either been personally attacked, threatened or made to feel unsafe. 
Star Wards, a project run by the charity Bright, is working with mental health trusts to improve life for acute mental health inpatients. 
Raj Persaud spoke to Marion Janner, founder of Star Wards.
Reporter Sara Parker went along to Sandwell Park Hospital in Hartlepool, one of the first pilot sites for Star Wards.

There are plans to scrap Matt's development to preserve the great crested newts. Annabelle advises him that court would be expensive and time-consuming. She suggests commissioning a new report to make sure they've got all the facts right.

Matt's trying to placate Lilian over a meal but she brings Annabelle into the conversation. Spotting Jennifer, Matt invites her to join them - anything to change the subject! Lilian confides in Jennifer that she thinks the newts are just an excuse for Matt and Annabelle to spend a lot of time together. 

The free stuffing offer has encouraged a few turkey orders. Eddie and Joe are making it but Clarrie's freezer is full. They call on Robert for help but Lynda's at home. Eddie sweet-talks her with the offer of Christmas greenery for her concert. She eagerly accepts their gift before apologising for not being able to offer them the use of her freezer. 

Joe saves the day when he announces that Jim's happy to help - they can use Shula's freezer. Eddie thinks Jim's a brave man to not get Shula's agreement first, especially as he's removed some left-overs to make room. He's given them to Joe for the pig so their stuffing's safe and Barbarella gets a gourmet supper!
