'People think we're angelic with our white ruffs and surplices, but we can be devils like any other boys ... I like being a chorister because we're paid for recordings and we go on tour... It's a job like anything else and we do the best we can ... I feel our singing is making God happy.'
Choristers past and present talk about their experiences at choir school; their feelings about continuing a tradition that has been part of the cultural heritage for the past 400 years and the effect this early intensive musical training has on their later lives. Producer LUCY LUNT BBC Pebble Mill

In the Habitation of Dragons
In the third of four programmes Denis Nowlan looks at the contemplative tradition of prayer through the life of St Teresa of Avila. Discouraged by her mediocrity and the compromise of religious life around her, Teresa set out to reform the Carmelite order and recapture the austerity and radicalism of desert life.
