Newcastle on Film
Stormy Monday has the biggest budget for any British film this year. It's being shot in Newcastle - the first film made there since Get Carter in 1971. And it not only has a local story about a jazz club owner fighting off American gangsters, but writer/director, Mike Figgis , and star, Sting, both come from Newcastle.
