Nick Baker traces a history of the world's most successful musical instrument, a journey that takes him to a small town in the German Black Forest, the American vaudeville circuit in the 1920s, and way beyond to a historic moment in 1967, when a mouth organ, smuggled aboard an American spacecraft, was blown and sucked in space.
