Last year two British cousins, Richard and Nick Crane , set out to cycle for charity to 'the centre of the earth' - the most remote place from any coastline in the world, in the heart of the desert of China's Xinjiang Province.
They took with them little more than the clothes they stood up in, a sleeping bag, a litre of water each and a portable tape recorder.
