How to Win Friends and Influence People
How can I impress my husband's boss when my life is all nappies and housework? Waiters in restaurants make me feel inferior, how can I overcome this? I wear the right clothes, the right make-up and go to discos but why doesn't anyone ask me out? How can I persuade my husband to help with the washing-up?

Cancer
Presented by Brian J. Ford
Cancer is the second biggest killer disease. On current evidence one in five people dies from it and one in four contracts it during their life. Yet weight of informed medical opinion is more optimistic than these statistics would suggest. The first part of tonight's programme assesses the state of knowledge about cancer and outlines recent developments in the prevention and cure of the many forms of this disease. The contributors include some leading medical scientists.
Part two presents recorded highlights of the phone-in, when listeners were invited to put their questions direct to a panel of cancer specialists. Producer MICHAEL BRIGHT
