Down and Out in Paris and London by GEORGE ORWELL abridged in five parts by DAVID GEARY
Read by Hugh Dickson
Orwell's brilliant, factual account (first published in 1933) of his experiences among the poor of two capital cities. Few writers have possessed such a gift for presenting the personality behind the rags, or described the truth of poverty with such little pretence.
