Since the 1930s there has been a special squadron in the RAF whose sole duty is to fly and maintain the aircraft used by the Sovereign and other members of the Royal Family. The Queen's Flight is based at Benson in Oxfordshire and its staff are regarded as belonging to the Queen's Household.
The programme includes interviews with the Captain and other members of the Queen's Flight including the Prince of Wales's personal pilot, and tells exactly what happens when the Queen has to undertake a journey by air.
