Anona Winn recalls the years between 1939 and 1949 when, as a result of one decision, her life became enriched by activities as divergent as playing Nanny in Bless the Bride; becoming an international lecturer for the English-speaking Union: being selected for the panel of Twenty Questions; and dedicating her services to the British Sailors' Society, for which she was awarded the M.B.E.
How this rich and full decade affected her personally is remembered by Anona and her friends.
