A year ago, more than nine million viewers witnessed the first national IQ test. Tonight the second is held. The two-part live programme, presented by Anne Robinson and Phillip Schofield , sets a test which can be taken on the internet, via digital televison, a scorecard or, most simply, with a pen and paper. Using 70 specially designed multiple-choice questions, it examines five "intelligence areas" language, memory, logic, numbers and perception.
As viewers take the test at home, six groups - mechanics, bodybuilders, City dealers, musicians, tax inspectors and last year's losing contingent, blondes - answer the same questions live in the studio, where they are joined by eight celebrity participants. Stars on hand include Arabella Weir , Richard Blackwood , Matthew Pinsent , Paula Radcliffe and Fearne Cotton.
Concludes after the news at 9.50pm.
