Poor old Josh. He's only just got his breath back after being rescued from underneath several tons of rubble when he's back in A&E for a typically hectic evening shift. "Right, what's next?" he asks, having "refreshed his skills" dealing with grumpy OAPs and bleeding patients. Billy, a schizophrenic who is severely disturbed because he hasn't been taking his medication - that's what next. But perhaps surprisingly the two bond, and Billy actually gets Josh talking about his dead wife.
Then there's the chap with amnesia, a punch-up in reception that leaves Duffy with a head wound, and the usual amount of squabbles, arguments, inter-office politics and heartbreak between the staff. "This place has got me confused," says Billy. "You're not the only one," replies Josh.
