Some recollections by HRH Princess Alice, Countess of Athlone, who was 95 yesterday, and is the only surviving grandchild of Queen Victoria. Introduced by Sir Huw Wheldon
During the making of the Royal Heritage series, Princess Alice gave her first filmed interview. This programme is an extended presentation of some of the things she said on that occasion, when she recalled - at first-hand - the personality and life of her grandmother, Queen Victoria, at Windsor Castle, Osborne and Balmoral, the Jubilees of 1887 and 1897, the Queen's Funeral, and the Germany of Kaiser Wilhelm II.

A series of six programmes 5: If....
This programme shows some of the fantastic weapons that were devised by both sides during World War II: bouncing bombs, rocket-powered guided missiles and 40-ton gliders.
Many of these ingenious devices were never to be used in anger - and others, the jet fighter, for example, were just too late. Narrator WILLIAM WOOLLARD

Twelve films from different parts of the UK which explore some of the complexities of people's sense of identity.
3: The Shankill Road
The Shankill Road -both a street and an area - was once synonymous with Loyalism, a byword, even in Belfast. From top to bottom the road was solidly unionist and monarchist and no outsiders disturbed the coherence of the community. But bulldozers are levelling the little streets, the people are moving out. Can the spirit of the Shankill survive the death of its home? And what happens to those loyalties when the actual fabric of the road disappears?
