Liverpool (England) v Borussia
Moenchengladbach (West Germany)
The whole match live from the Olympic Stadium, Rome Commentator BARRY DAVIES
For Liverpool, tonight's game just four days after their Wembley Cup Final, is the climax to an amazing season, and to 13 years of continuous European competition. They won the UEFA Cup in 1973 and 1976, were runners-up in the Cup-Winners' Cup in 1966, and now play the West German champions in their most important European game ever. Only two British clubs have won the top club trophy in Europe - Celtic in 1967, and Manchester United a year later.
Introduced by Jimmy Hill with comments from Jock Stein manager of Celtic, and Bobby Charlton , who scored two of United's goals in the 1968 final.

From the Fairfield Hall, Croydon
'Serge Prokofiev was not only a fine composer, but also a brilliant pianist. His third piano concerto is by far the most popular of all the post-romantic concertos-very Russian, very dynamic and very difficult to play.
'Our soloist tonight is a young lady who, quite clearly, has never even heard of the word "difficult"
