Trevor Huddleston of Masasi
Physically there's something that attracts me tremendously in the vastness of Africa
I couldn't face the kind of life I live here at all, without the life of prayer behind it
What future is there for the white missionary in the newly emerging African states?

More than ten years ago Father Trevor Huddleston was a staunch opponent of apartheid in South Africa. For the last five years as missionary bishop - of Masasi in southern Tanzania he has been involved in an even tougher battle -
against poverty and ignorance. This documentary film shows Father Huddleston at work in his vast, remote diocese as big as England, and the sort of problems he has to tackle.
