Film cameras at Percy Thrower's own garden at Shrewsbury and in the Gardening Club Garden, Edgbaston, Birmingham record some of the flowering highlights of the past spring and present a calendar of topical work for the rest of this month.
Sequences include: dicentra spectabilis (bleeding heart); flowering brooms and cherries; rhododendron luteum; viburnum carlcephalum; candelabra primulas; greenfly on H.T. roses; tools available for edging grass; the first cut of the Gardening Club garden lawn extension (sown in early April and rolled mid-May)
