Programmes for parents about children.
Modern teachers attach great importance to the educational possibilities of children's spontaneous play. Practical experience precedes instruction. In some schools the greater part of the time is spent on much the same activity which took place at nursery school. Cooking, playing with water, painting, and modelling still continue, though at a more advanced level, and the basic skills of reading, writing, and numbering are taught in a context of purposeful activity.
