Tonight, the second group of five chefs face two intense challenges set by Monica Galetti and Marcus Wareing in a bid to become semi-finalists.

In the second round of the brand new MasterChef pop-up challenge, the judges announce that the chefs have three hours, with limited equipment and facilities to produce a knock-out plate that showcases their versatility and style. This dish has to win over the specially invited guests because they will be voting for their favourite food on offer. The diners are some of the stars of the UK's street food and pop-up industry. The contestant that bags the most votes from these discerning diners will sail straight through to the semi-finals.

The remaining four chefs are then pitted against each other in the heat of the kitchen to conjure up a special dish that will secure their place in the competition. Anything less than dazzling could see their championship dreams dashed. Once Marcus, Monica and Gregg have tasted their creations, they will decide which three chefs will join the pop-up winner and make it through to the semi-finals, and which chef has reached the end of the road.
