Professor of Medieval History in the University of Liverpool Francis of Assisi and Wolfram von F.schenbach illustrate in their differing fashion the layman's discovery of a new world, with new and challenging questions of value. They discovered among other things the goodness of the natural world and raised the question of toleration.
