by ASA BRIGGS 2: The Medium and the Audience
In this talk Professor Briggs, Dean of the School of Social Studies, University of Sussex, compares broadcasting with other communications media. He analyses their effect on public attitudes, tastes, and values, and considers what might have happened had the social control of these media been different.
Points made by Professor
Briggs in this and his preceding talk will provide the basis for a conversation between himself and Robert McKenzie , to be broadcast in the Third on November 28.
