Enid Payne , born at Shifnal, Shropshire, first played in public at the age of eight. Later she studied piano and violin at Leipzig for three years. At one time organist and choir-trainer at Monmouth Parish Church, she is now organist at Walton-in-Gordano Church, Somerset.
She has given a good deal of time to piano recital work and teaching, and has been training a small choir to sing unaccompanied part songs, both sacred and secular.
