Flood, ever since the Biblical deluge, has played an enormous part in man's history. It plays an enormous part and one which is often insufficiently recognised even today.

This programme will attempt to glance at the historical significance of flood and at the same time to indicate something of the real importance of the flood problem today and the attempts that are being made to alleviate it.
