Marjorie Wynn Williams , who was educated at the University College of North Wales, Bangor, wrote a thesis on thistles, which was far from being as light as the title suggests. In her spare time. she used to write Variety turns and act in them. Now she has turned her attontion to dramatising some of the old Welsh folk-tales, and the ones she really enjoys are the meat gruesome.
