THE G.W.R. (CARDIFF) MALE VOICE CHOIR
Conducted by JOHN PRITCHARD
THE ABERAMAN ORIGINAL SILVER BAND
Conducted by R. S. HOWELLS

This band was formed in 1882 and has competed in all the most important contests in the county. It has won all the chief prizes offered in Wales, including the National Eisteddfod, the South Wales and Monmouthshire Association Championships, and the Inter-Association Championships. The band was the first to win the Association's sets of bronze medals, and the first band to win the gold medals by winning the Championships three times in succession.

The G.W.R. (Cardiff) Male Voice Choir was formed in 1927 as a Glee Party of twenty-five voices. In 1930 the party was strengthened by an additional twenty voices, and the total number of forty-five has since been maintained. For six years the choir held the premier challenge trophy offered by the Great Western Railway to Male Voice Choirs on their lines.
