A West Country Play by Charles Lee
(See centre column)

Characters: The Reverend Cyril Bestwick; Alice, his maid; William Hobb; Lizzie Charles

Scene: The study of a small Gloucestershire Vicarage - about 9.30 p.m.

Listeners may remember the production of this amusing little play in the West Regional programme in January, 1932. On that occasion an experiment in production technique was made. The experiment was voted a definite success by some listeners, while others were equally definite that it was a failure. Now, however, the play is to be given a 'straight' production, and this companion piece to the author's better-known play, Mr. Sampson, will be welcomed by all who appreciate Gloucestershire humour.
