The Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital is one of the oldest Institutions in the country; it has 240 beds, and last year over 10.000 people (3,422 In-Patients and 7,146 OutPatients) benefited by the treatment they received. Its accommodation is most severely taxed and urgently requires extensions to cope with the enormous number of cases with which it has to deal.
