J. C. Griffith-Jones, who gives the last talk in this series, also gave the first talk when the series began in January, 1936. He has spoken more than twenty times on 'Around and About' and 'Yma a Thraw', the Welsh counterpart. One of the most experienced and versatile broadcasters in Wales, he began broadcasting in the first year of radio, and has spoken on almost every conceivable subject, his topics including cricket, football, tinplates, trading estates industrial matters, and sheep-dog trials. He has touched on almost every topic from the Severn Bore to the Eisteddfod and he has given eye-witness accounts of. and running commentaries on, almost every royal visit to Wales.
