Lilian Evans , a well-known broadcaster in Wales, was born in llandovery, and educated at-Llandovery County School and at the University College, Cardiff, where she studied music and singing, She has won numerous prizes in Eisteddfodau.
John Pennar Williams won the bass solo competition at three National
Eisteddfodau, and on three other occasions has been bass vocalist m the winning duet. He has secured hundreds of prizes and many tronhies at leading Eisteddfodau throughout Wales. He has twice oured the U.S.A. and Canada with he Royal Glyndwr Male Cho.r as principal bass soloist. He has also appeared in oratorios, operas, and concerts in London and the provinces.
