For this broadcast a shortened version of this Scottish opera, which was first produced in public two seasons ago, has been made for broadcasting by the composer, W. B. Moonie. 
Moonie studied in Frankfurt for three years, having gained the Bucher Scholarship for music. His tutor was Professor Ivan Knorr , who has taught many British composers, including Roger Quitter. He has composed a large amount of music, including songs, choral works, and his ' Deeside Symphony ', which has been broadcast.
