The Charlie Ross Girls from the King's Theatre,
Glasgow George West , who tops the bill at this popular Glasgow summer show, is one of the best-known comedians in Scotland. He is perhaps most famous as the leading comedian in innumerable pantomimes at the Princess Theatre and in many a lively show at the Firth of Clyde resorts. He is again supported by Jack Raymond , the light comedian, who has made several appearances before the microphone in Scotland.

A recorded impression of the Display at Ibrox Stadium, Glasgow by Leo Hunter
This afternoon the Boy Scouts' Association of Scotland held its Rallv at Ibrox Park, Glasgow. The recording van was there and made discs of the many good noises to be heard on such an occasion. There were three hundred pipers and a ' Pageant of Scotland ', which included such episodes as the attack on the Romans by the Picts and a skirmish between Scots and English soldiers ; the Coronation of Robert the Bruce ; a Covenanters' Conventicle ; and the raising of Prince Charles Edward Stuart's Standard at Glenfinnan in 1745. There will be Highland dancing and, of course, many hearty cheers and wolf-cub ' howls '.
