A Programme of Home Thoughts
Devised by W. M. CARNEGIE
Produced by MOULTRIE KELSALL
(From Aberdeen)
The Victorian declaration that there is no place like home is seldom quoted nowadays, but the truth endures, and many thousands of listeners like nothing better than to sit in a comfortable chair before a glowing fire and hear a programme of home sentiment. The idea behind ' Home Thoughts ' is as simple as that. It will include songs and poems and a sketch-for the most part in Scots-together with a short orchestral medley of ' homing music ' of the more obvious sort. The poems to be spoken will include one by Charles Murray , the Poet Laureate of the North-East of Scotland.
