4—' Winter Activity'
(From Edinburgh)
LIFE is at a low ebb in plants and animals during winter, but although things are quiet on the whole, there is still considerable activity among some animals. Young bees keep on feeding, and the tit, the robin, the blackbird, the mavis, and lapwing, are hard at work. In stream and pond curious young forms of many kinds of insects are active.
