A programme from North Lancashire by D. G Bridson presenting in their own words the lives of little-known people
In this programme D. G. Bridson presents an interesting- part of rural England-Furness Fells, an isolated triangle of Lancashire, whose apex thrusts between Westmorland and Cumberland. The district is immensely varied in its scene: from the northern heights of nearly 3,000 feet around Coniston it stretches to the low-lying sands of Walney Isle, and again westwards from the mountains through which the Dud-don threads its way, to the long shores of Lake Windermere.
Bridson will bring to the microphone men and women from farms, from quarries, and from the sands to give listeners a cross-section of people's lives in Furness Fells.
