A Frivolous Affair by Maurice Horspool
The scene is laid in Little Dutford in Yorkshire-and later in the County Court
Produced by Edward Wilkinson
Here is something with a real Christmas flavour, a ghost story, but one intended to make the sides shake rather than the flesh creep. In such a play surprise is everything, so the main outline may only be hinted at. A Canadian returns home to claim his ancestral mansion. He tries to sell it, but no one will have it for love or money. The reason is a very real and very noisy ghost. Listeners will hear how the ghost is laid and how a county court gets the surprise of its life.
