Conductor, T. H. MORRISON In 1872 Bizet composed a charming series of twelve little pieces for piano duet, which was entitled Jeux d" Enfants. Though conceived with the utmost simplicity of melody and harmony, these pieces are delicately pictorial. The music is about children rather than 'or children. During the following year Bizet took five of the pieces and scored them for orchestra. Sir Frederic Cowen conducted the suite for the first time in London at a Philharmonic Concert in '888.
