T. O. Corrin
T. O. Corrin again comes to the microphone tonight with his gramophone records to pick out the specially attractive bits of Saturday night's BBC concert at the Ulster Hall. These pre-concert chats, informative and analytical, give many concert-goers and stay-at-home listeners just that helpful stimulus and line of approach that makes all the difference to their appreciation of the music.
Ever since the Northern Ireland station-as it then was-opened in 1924, T. O. Corrin has been in close contact with the musical side of broadcasting. In those early days he was actually a member of the BBC staff, but he subsequently resigned to take up the post of Inspector of Music under the Northern Ireland Ministry of Education.
