Cricket, perhaps because of the character of the Northern Ireland summer, has never been universally accepted in Ulster as it is in England. Yet some of its most enthusiastic devotees are to be found in and near the small country towns. In his talk on village cricket in Ulster, A. D. May is going to tell listeners something about these country clubs, in order to show the amount of interest which the game excites in the province generally.

Two Gateshead Unemployed explore
Ulster
During the month of July two unemployed miners from Tyneside, whom we will call Bill and Jim, are coming over to Ulster to spend a holiday. They will be here for about three weeks and will give an account of their experiences in three weekly discussions before the microphone. They will be enabled to see the country as two visitors with a limited purse, and' will spend part of their time at the seaside, and part of the time in the interior of the province. Their reflections on Ulster life and Ulster people should be original and refreshing.
