Lily Kettlewell, a Birmingham artist, began her musical training at the Birmingham School of Music as a pianist. Turning to solo singing, she won first and second prizes in the Wesley Guild Eisteddfod, and was one of the soloists at the .School of Music Students' Concert in Birmingham Town Hall in 1934. Since then she has sung at many concerts in both hcder and oratorio.
