Ronald Gourley is an example of how a man's spirit can triumph over a physical infirmity-he has been totally blind from birth. He is best known on the air as an entertainer in the London Children's Hour.
As a child he could play anything by ear, and his first lessons were given him by a nun at -Stoke-on-Trent, his birthplace. When he was ten he came to London to the Royal Normal College and Academy of Music at Norwood. Later, he won a scholarship to the Royal Academy and Midland Institute School of Music.
