This combination has been broadcasting regularly for two years, with some changes in personnel. The present members are : first violin, Jan Berenska ; rhythm violin, saxophones, and vocalist, Fred Adcock , lately leader of the Ritz Players; 'cello and tenor saxophone, Billy Porter ; alto saxophone and clarinet, James Donovan ; bass, Norman Thistlewood. Jack Wilson himself first broadcast as a pianist when Charles Brewer was Midland producer-that was in February, 1930. He has composed many pianoforte solos, chiefly syncopated. His home is in Coventry, where he is employed by a well-known music house, and besides being the pianist for the Coventry Hippodrome Orchestra in its broadcast programmes, he records pianoforte solos monthly, and runs a dance band of twelve players.
