The Town Hall, Walsall
FROM its earliest days Walsall has been one of the principal centres of the Leather industry. Many and varied are its uses and the processes involved. One of the most important today is the leather made for the soling of shoes and the manufacturing of leather goods which requires a process of manufac- ture far more delicate and lengthy than is generally realised. A talk on this industry will be given by Dr. E. C. Snow, with incidental process sounds relayed from a Tannery at Walsall.
