This is the only carillon in a Catholic 
Church, staffed by secular clergy, in England. It was offered to the new church—which was opened today by the Power family, to which tho Parish 
Priest, the Very Rev. John Power , belongs. The twenty - three bells, cast by the Croydon firm which founded the Rockefeller peals at Chicago and New York, were consecrated by the Lord Archbishop of Birmingham, Mr. 
Withers, the carilloneur, opened the poals at Ottawa and Montreal.
