'In My Garden'

Every afternoon as they were coming from school the children used to go and play in the Giant's garden. It was a large, lovely garden with soft, green grass. Here and there, over   the grass, were beautiful flowers like stars, and there were twelve peach trees, that in spring were covered with beautiful blossom, and in autumn bore rich fruit. The birds sat on the branches of the tree; they sang so sweetly that the children used to stop their games in order to listen to them. (Oscar Wilde)

Norah Holloway has had four years' experience of broadcasting, and has written, a number of stories and plays. Her Irish play, May Eve,  was broadcast from London a month ago. Her home is in Staffordshire, but she is of Irish descent, as her gift for telling a story which combines fantasy and humour indicates.
