Wednesbury in the Black Country. At the age of twenty he became assistant organist at Birmingham Parish Church. He has been conductor of the Darlaston Choral Society, Wolverhampton Musical Society, and Director of Music to Stewarts and Lloyds, Coombs Wood Works. He is now assistant organist at Lichfield Cathedral.
