Work in the world of science
by J. P. Bull , M.D. of the Medical Research Unit Birmingham Accident Hospital
After he has passed his driving test, a driver is let loose on the roads in control of an amount of energy that can be compared with that of a gun. The toll on the roads emphasises that this energy is all too often misdirected, and scientists are studying the behaviour of drivers to find out how their performance can be improved.
