The Rev. John W. Arthur , is perhaps today the leading Scottish missionary in East Africa. After being an active member in the Student Christian Movement, Dr. Arthur went out to Kenya as a medical missionary in 1907. From 1923 to 1926 he was a member of the Kenya Legislative Council as the representative of the interests of the native peoples of Kenya.
